A Little Bit About Us.

Ryan- I am 15 years old and also live in Shoreview. I started fishing at age 8 at my cabin with my dad. We used to fish crappies togather in the spring and a lot of bass in the summer. Most of my life up until about 2 years ago all i targeted was bass. I became a pro on our small lake knowing where the fish would go in all types of weather situations. I would take people that came to visit out to the lake and have 100 fish days. Now days i fish every weekend at least one day usually both and i go to my cabin almost every weekend. When i was around 10 years old i caught the fish of a lifetime up there. My dad and i would put tip ups out in front of the house and watch them from inside. It was midday when i saw a flag go up and i raced down on the snowmobile... 24" bass! Man was that a blast to pull out of an ice hole!

I dont do much hunting but in the summer i walk around near the cabin with my dog after chipmunks and squirrels. I enjoy winter fishing the most because with a shelter you can make it whatever weather type you want. I enjoy going on long trips with the snowmobile and the Fish Trap Voyager behind to explore new lakes. Finding a small lake that holds a lot of fish can be extremely rewarding. I could go on and on but these are just a few of my favorite memories.

Chris- I am 17 years old, I currently live in Shoreview Minnesota and love to fish. I grew up not fishing very often, just when my dad wanted to go. But I liked it a lot so, we went a lot more and now its almost every weekend in the summer and every weekend in the winter.

Fishing is my passion especially,  ice fishing. I try to get out at least once a week, mainly targeting crappies and sunnies. I do target northerns from time to time but not nearly as often as crappies. I fish crappies 80% of the time. I enjoy the late-ice period of time the most just because of the warmer temps.

I also enjoy hunting; deer, pheasants, ducks, rabbits and just about anything else that is legal. I shot my first deer in 2006, it was a young buck. I didn't know what it was until after I had tracked it and found it. I try to go out to South Dakota pheasant hunting every fall and have been out there for 2 years for the youth hunt and 1 year before that. I don't hunt ducks that often just occasionally when they are open and I get some free time. I don't hunt ducks like the traditional duck hunter. I know a little pond up by my uncle's that I can sneak up on and there are usually quite a few wood ducks on it, because I am the only person that hunts them there and I only get out there maybe twice a year.
